If you are a mortgage industry professional, you need to take action to ensure your licensure.
The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) requires that state-licensed mortgage loan originators (MLOs) complete pre-licensure and annual continuing education.
In addition to other requirements, all MLOs must then pass the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test, which is comprised of two components: a state component and a national component. MLOs must pass each component with a score of 75% or higher.
